Webster defines courage as “mental or moral strength to venture, perservere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty. In my opinion he should have included a photo of Darien and Ivania. These two courageous young women have a burden for woman forced into the thriving sex trade in Thailand. God brought them together this past winter, and after much prayer and preparation they are stepping out in blind faith, leaving all that they know and love behind in the U.S. In just one short week, Ivania and Darien are getting ready to go on the trip of a lifetime to Thailand. For the next five months their lives will be filled with adventure and service, all in the Name of Jesus. These two young women have hearts for God and for the people of Thailand. During their stay they will be working to help abolish foreign sex trade and spread the freeing love of Christ. Here are a few snapshots of the girls’ going away party, celebrating their upcoming adventure with friends and family.
