For Always {Hannah and Gordon}

Family recipe

There’s  no better way to bring in the New Year than to celebrate with family and friends, and there’s no bigger celebration than a wedding.  When Gordon and Hannah planned their wedding they knew they wanted a intimate ceremony they could share with family and close friends.  On Friday evening everyone gathered for dinner at the quaint 1425 Bed and Breakfast in historic downtown Columbia, South Carolina.  Dinner was delicious, and the hit of the evening was the chocolate fudge cheesecake made from the time tested recipe by Gordon’s sweet mom.  It was a wonderful night as family was reunited from Mississippi, Florida, and North and South Carolina.

Saturday morning dawned bright, sunny and unseasonably warm, even for South Carolina.  After breakfast all of the guys headed to Hermitage Farms in nearby Camden to spend the morning skeet shooting while the ladies chose to spend the morning being pampered at a local salon and spa.  After a relaxing morning the brides mom treated everyone to a wonderful lunch at California Dreaming (thank you Martha!) before going back to the inn to get ready for the big night.

Arriving at the church after spending the day apart,  the couple was led separately to the church foyer before the guest arrived.  Holding hands around a corner so that they wouldn’t see each other, they shared an unforgettable moment as they asked for God’s blessings on their marriage.  Hannah was stunning in a satin dress with beautiful crystal beadwork at the neckline.  The small wedding party consisted of  Christy, Hannah’s best friend since childhood as the matron of honor, Gordon’s dad as best man, and his adorable niece nicknamed ‘Bug’ by Gordon as the perfect flower girl.  The ceremony went perfectly and within minutes Hannah and Gordon were walking down the aisle arm in arm, giddy with radiant smiles.  They were barely out of the sanctuary doors before Gordon picked Hannah up and spun her around triumphantly.  The celebration continued at a lovely reception nearby with an elegant southern dinner featuring quail as a mouthwatering appetizer. The reception was a perfect end to the wonderful weekend; the celebration was the perfect way to start the New Year!

Congratulations Hannah and Gordon!  I love you guys, and I adore your precious families!
